Civility: Talking points to hide violent intentions

Several articles have appeared on this site about the intense rhetoric coming from Liberals calling for civility while at the same time promoting violence against the Tea Party. The radical left-wing leaders have an extensive history of talking about peaceful protests against those who oppose their views, but what you won’t see discussed in the liberal media is that in fact it’s only a means to keep the focus on their enemies.

Lawmakers on the Democrat side of the aisle often dish out red meat oratory to their disciples while publically preaching civility. The truth is that civility is only intended for Conservatives. While decrying a few adolescent Tea Party members that have displayed small minds, the Liberals use them to brand an entire movement as racist or far-right. God knows that Democrats love to use labels and demonize their opponents. If throwing out the race card is good for a few cheers, they’ll toss out the entire deck.

When Democrat members of the House of Representatives branded Tea Partiers as terrorists, or offered to help send them straight to hell, the liberal press kept quiet, burying the stories deep in their papers if they even mentioned it at all. When Obama’s best buddy Richard Trumka, President of the AFL-CIO called Tea Party protestors “sons of bitches,” not a peep was heard from the White House or the liberal media. When Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa called for violence against Tea Party members the White House remained silent.

Now the Department of Union Affairs, known as the White House, has sent their thugs to Longview, Washington to trash private property, hold hostages and fight with the police. Longshoremen dumped grain and cut brake lines in an unauthorized sympathy work stoppage known as a wildcat strike. The action was not in protest of actions against their own union, but a sister organization. Union members stormed the Port of Longview early Thursday, overpowered and held security guards hostage and damaged railroad cars. Six guards were held hostage for a couple of hours after 500 or more Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack.  Peruse a regional or national liberal rag and see how much coverage this event received? You won’t find much.

The liberal media is protecting its own; no real news there. Had the Tea Party done such a thing it would’ve been all over the front page of every paper in the country and liberal members of the legislature would be calling press conferences 24-7.

Jimmy Hoffa declared war against the Tea Party because they are a convenient villain. None of the Tea Party groups, of which there are thousands, have targeted unions, so why are unions and liberal members of Congress attacking them?  If you don’t know you should read ‘Rules for Radicals,’ Saul Alinsky guide for Progressives. Attacking Republicans directly hasn’t proven very fruitful and Progressives must have a group or person to vilify. They tried conservative broadcasters like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, but that failed. They tried going after corporations, but with millions out of work, attacking the folks that hire or sign paychecks isn’t very popular; Mr. Obama proved that. They’re simply running out of folks to label and demonize.

Going back to his community organizing roots, this President is married to the labor movement. He’ll never stand up to the unions or other progressives because they are the bread and butter of his political bankroll. Given dozens of opportunities to condemn the vile words of liberal legislators or union bosses Obama simply changes the subject. How distant does the call for lowering the tone in Washington that Mr. Obama preached during the 2008 campaign seem now? If Mr. Obama wanted to bring the sides together he’d be all over this opening to appear the uniter; but if you calmly listen to his words on a litany of subjects you’ll realize that he sees his niche as a modern day Robin Hood; when it comes to reshaping society to your vision, like love and war, all’s fair.
